REUTERS/Daniel Cole/File Photo Purchase Licensing Rights February 5 (Reuters) - Once Upon a Farm, the organic children's food brand co-founded by actress Jennifer Garner, announced on Thursday that it has raised nearly $198 million in its U.S. initial public offering. The Berkeley, California-based firm, along with some of its investors, issued around 11 million shares priced at $18 each, meeting the midpoint of its projected range of $17 to $19. The IPO values the company at approximately $724.2 million, according to the outstanding shares detailed in its prospectus. Experts note that heightened demand and a wave of prominent companies preparing to enter the market in 2026 are poised to propel the IPO sector into a resurgence, following a prolonged downturn that began to show improvement in the latter half of 2025. Founded in 2015 by Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz, Once Upon a Farm expanded its leadership in 2017 when Garner and former Annie's CEO John Foraker joined as co-founders. The company features a diverse range of products for children, including cold-pressed pouches, frozen meals, and oat bars. Industry analysts highlight that the growing consumer preference for organic and health-conscious diets is influencing purchasing decisions, favoring brands that prioritize nutrition and ingredient transparency. However, Once Upon a Farm cautioned in its prospectus that potential trade barriers in Mexico and South America, which supply a substantial portion of its fruit and vegetable ingredients, could lead to shortages and increased costs. While IPO activities are on the rise, analysts have warned that ongoing trade tensions might still impact consumer-facing companies reliant on international supply chains. Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan are serving as the joint lead book-running managers. Once Upon a Farm will be publicly traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol 'OFRM'.
